Hi Parents.

I have been down to Brune Park this morning and am feeling more confident on our November return.

We are planning to start back on Fridays only (Tuesdays children are welcome) for this 5 week term but if all goes well we will be starting Tuesdays again in the New Year.

With this in mind there will be limited spaces especially with no helpers or teachers in the water.

  • Session 1 Armbanders with helper this can be a parent or a sibling over 14. Plus deep enders with an 20m badge and above.

  • Session 2 and 3 Improvers that can swim 5m-10m without aid or assistance. Plus deep enders with an 20m badge and above.

  • Session 4 Mini and Club swimmers.

With the limits on children in the pool now reduced to a maximum of 14 children we have increased the cost of the half hour sessions. For this 5 week term the cost will be £40, But we will need full payment at the start of term and this will sadly be non-refundable.(due to cost of hire and pool cleaning between sessions). If we don’t fill all the spaces we will have to look at reducing one of the sessions.

If you would like to book on for this coming term (and we hope you will) can you please look at the attachment and let me know which session you would like. Any questions of more information please call me on 01329 319391 or Mobile 07891842501 after 5pm please.

More information will be sent out weekly on how we are doing and especially with the health and the safety rules.

Best regards,

Gary and Maria Solly

Amazing!! I have completed the Yorkshireman Ironman distance in 14Hrs 57 secs this is a distance of 2.4miles swim, 112 miles bike and 26 mile run. Feeling fantastic now and on a total high after this epic journey. As a swim teacher and coach I was so pleased to be 1st out of the water after the river swim in a field of nearly a 100. Now should I retire from these silly sporting events? :) :)

Celebrating 40 Years of Teaching!

I started helping and teaching at the family run swim school age 16 with my dad who was a teacher at West Hill Park School in Titchfield. My dad was an ex Physical training instructor in the Royal Navy and had coached at a very high level including competitive Olympic swimmers. Swimming has always been a big part of my life and i'd completed all of my swimming teaching qualifications by the time I was 20 to the higher level of Advance swimming teacher. Over those years I have always got a real buzz from teaching children and adults to learn to swim and I believe swimming is so important that I think everyone should have the opportunity to gain this as a life skill. Swimming should be fun and exciting and this is a big part of what I try to install in all of my many teachers and helpers that I have had the pleasure to work with over the 40 years. I joke about teaching for another 40 years and hopefully I can continue well past my retirement.

See you all soon!

Gary
